UML tool: Object diagrams
Examples of UML object diagrams with Modelio
Object diagrams show examples different possible configurations of instances of class diagram. They help understand and validate class diagrams, which can be very generic. Object diagrams can also represent the initial configuration of a system, as well as typical instance configurations.
This model shows the example of a family that instantiates the model presented in the UML class diagram section. We also see an example with anonymous instances.
Modelio can represent embedded instances at any requested depth. This feature is very useful when representing the constitution of elements assembling other elements.
Modelio presents an icon showing the exact nature of the type of represented elements (here classes). This additional information makes diagrams easier to read and understand.
